The Lansing vicinity is an area of growth and expansion. General Motors has picked Lansing for its first new auto assembly plant in years. The suburbs are alive with new subdivisions and homes. Many new Businesses and plants have moved to the Lansing area in the past year. Michigan State University is expanding with new building projects. Downtown Lansing is undergoing a revival, seen most clearly in Downtown near Oldsmobile Park and in Old Town in north Lansing. The area aims to become even more productive and vibrant.
